Ugh. This is horrible news.
I really don't want to trade in my car next year.

Then wait another year for the refreshed model... wait... wait another 3 years for a full redesigned 4IS.

I don't have any of the mechanics yet other than transmission. I'll see what I can find.

I was seriously considering the new GS, but now I will wait until we see pics of the new IS. If I go with the IS, it definitely will NOT be the IS250. Not that there is anything wrong with the 250, but I want some additional zip!

Internally there is A LOT of excitement about the next IS especially the F-sport model. Like Hoovey stated it is quite sinister and bad *** and it isn't even the IS F!!!!

Agree, no car ever looks exactly like the concept once it goes into production its watered down quite a bit. I'm not quite surprised though that they will offer the 3IS in a 2 door version considering the ISC is a 2 door.

hoovey,

Is the transmission like a SMG gear box?

Also, with this LFA display. Does it allow to switch units, ie. MPH to Km/h, F to C or vice versa?

I believe it's the same unit that is in the current ISF?

250 = reprogrammed 6-auto
350 = 8-speed auto

You currently can change "some" units of measurement in the RX, GS, CT, ES so IS should be the same

So the 250 gets the "updated" 6 speed in the new GS... and the 350 gets the IS-F transmission with a 'real' manual mode? Is that correct? (or is it an 8 speed that also has only a semi-manual mode like the GS?)
