What's leaking? Front Diff or Transfer Case?
 

2016 IS350 Fsport - $110k miles. Repair shop found a leak and provided the below photo and summary. They claimed it's the differential and that they would need to drop the transmission to repair and it would cost $1,800 to fix. However, that looks like the transfer case... Not much online regarding other IS350 owners with a similar problem. Is this really a differential issue? What's the standard repair here?
