Default Replacing small plastic piece over gear letters by shifter

Hello,

I noticed I had a bunch of scratches on that plastic piece covering your gears next to the shifter. This plastic can scratch by looking at it too long…

im not sure it’ll buff out too well so I’m looking to just replace it. Has anyone done this? Does it pop off easily or does the console need to be removed?

Also if anyone knows the part number for this.
Thank you!

This part is the center assembly cover which Includes that plastic piece. This is a great parts website for all the small items. I would give them a call and ask about that specific plastic piece since they have it as part of the larger molding..

My '21 I just purchased has some decent scratches on that same plastic piece. If you find anything let me know lol.

Thanks, however the part sketch it shows, to me, looks nothing like the center console assembly. I've tried looking but can't find much info or any part that seems to match. I may just have to go down to the dealer and see if their parts guy can pull it up. I'm surprised more people haven't replaced this thing since like you, almost every single used (and even brand new) IS's I have been in have scratches on that plastic piece. Perhaps I seem to pay extra attention than most because on an older 2017 I had I think I set my keys on top of it for a second and sure enough, it scratched that thing up so bad, now I like it nice and shiny.
