Default Driver Side Firewall Access

I'm looking to install an oil temp + pressure gauge and I'm trying to find an opening that I could find by the driver's side area but can't really find anything. When looking through this thread, link below, they said there's a small area in the grommet. Want to know if the pictures I took is what they were talking about.

That grommet area is the right place to look. You can try removing the electrical tape and zip tie to fish the wire through the main wire loom, I didn't do this because I tried and I couldn't find where the coat hanger exited.
What I did is fished the wire near the seam of the parking brake cable. There is a little hole at the seam you can poke a coat hanger through and come through the fire wall to the engine bay. In the engine bay I had to undo electrical tape, and cut a zip tie on a rubber wire grommet to fish it through. You can re-apply the electrical tape and zip-tie everything when complete. I didn't have to puncture any rubber grommets. Be careful not to poke into any wires with your fishing tool (coat hanger/flat head screwdriver), I used Vaseline to help fish my coat hanger through.

Wire grommet. Circled near the edge of the parking brake wire.
