Remote start
I'm trying to find a remote start that will work with the factory fob, which I'm not having any luck. Is there a remote start that might have a single button fob, that will allow takeover and the factory fob to work after remote starting?
Thanks
Thanks
This way you can keep ONLY your factory fob.

Use option 14.
Set it so that when It recurves 5 pulses in 5 seconds then it sends a pulse to the remote start module.
Almost any remote start module will work.
Did you get remote start working using your factory fob? I've been eye'ing the Best Buy remote start deals ($300 installed) but the one star reviews of messed up wiring, broken interior bits and more are very off putting. Not to mention I don't need a 3,000-6,000 foot range.
I'm very interested in this but I'm kind of a car wiring noob, but can accomplish most tasks I try. A good one was about 10 years ago or so, my brother in law had an early/mid 90's Cadillac sedan as his commuter and the chipped key stopped working, so the car stopped. Him and his pals messed with it for a bit then it sat for months. He was using his newer full size truck 70 miles a day roundtrip and put the caddy up for sale, non running. I said hey, buy me lunch and a 6-pack and I'll see what I can do. After some googling and a trip to Radio Shack (was still open at the time), I soldered some resistors into the ignition harness that matched the keys chip resistance and viola, the old car was back on the road racking up the miles.
