Default VSC error

My 2007 IS220D is showing VSC error but when the garage plugged it in it came up as a battery temp sensor error code. Anybody else experience this? Cannot go over 3000rpm without the car going into limp mode.

Is your check engine light on? If so, be aware that the "Check VSC" indication in the driver display will show too, since the car automatically disables stability control when the CEL is on. I wouldn't worry about the VSC system unless the diagnostic trouble codes point you in that direction.
