Default Help with offset please

Hi There,

We have a stock 2008 Lexus IS 350. We are getting new rims. We are doing 18 x 8.5 in the front and 18 x 9.5 rear. Today we found out the rims we really want are +38offset not +35. Will this be an issue? I really don't understand offset. We are not interested in lowering or rolling fenders and we do not want rubbing. Help please

+38 on all wheels will give you a perfect fit. Basically anything from +40 to +35 and in between works great on IS250/350
To understand how offset (ET) works use this website.

+35/+38 8.5/9.5 but in 19”. Flush , light rubbing but I’m lowered. Your specs will be fine.

I have this exact setup with +38 and its perfect. Flush fitment and makes the car looker wider. I'm also on stock tire size

Hi.

Do you think 275/35 might work on 9.5 wide wheel with an offset of +35 if I do fender roll?

I love the look of your car with that wide tire in the rear and want to do the same. I don't mind rolling fenders if I have to just want that 275/35 in there at all costs.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Also I'm on H&R lowering springs

I run 265/35 on a 9.5 rear wheel setup for my IS350 and had the fenders shaved off from the inside. I decided on this method against fender rolling because cutting looks and provides a much better clearance. You could not tell even when looking at it directly.
