Question Offset wheels to Squared set up

Hi guys! I’m a bit new to the forum, but I’ve been following the website for since I was 12 and now I’m about to buy my first Lexus at 22! I’m planning on buying my girlfriends parents’ 08 IS 350 with around 80,000 miles and is in perfect condition. The question I’ve been having is are there any pros and cons to switching the wheel set up from a staggered to a square set up? I’m thinking about switching the rims to a 18 or 20 wheels and was curious to see if it was okay to make them the same all around. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it!

You can switch it to square. One advantage to that is you can rotate the wheels if/when needed.
