New Moderators; anyone have super power? Sub forum = #2IS Electrical
I asked before and was told the burden is too great, but what about a new 2IS Sub-Forum for Electrical Issues?
The drive train is not the weak link on this vehicle, but the electrical glitches are real as they age.
Thoughts?
Edit: please tag all useful / questions answered, problem understood electrical troubleshooting problems as follows

So far at 10 years old and 62k on my IS350 no electrical issues (knock on wood). Same for my 2006 Camry SE, 14 years and 155k miles later it still has the original alternator from the day I bought it!

I was once describing to a friend how the CL forum can sometimes be boring. No blown engine stories. Some rare transmission problems, blown fuses, infotainment screen issues...on cars that are plus 10 years old and reaching 200K LOL! He told me I should join the Bimmerpost forum for more action. Dammit guys, we need more engine and drivetrain problems on this forum!!!

My friend, I fear the first thing that is going to blow are the tires, then the fun is over. I once saw a YouTube video where they ran a Toyota truck with no oil full throttle. It ran for 10 minutes before it finally started to smoke and then catch fire, but continued to run. It didn't even explode, it just finally sputtered out and died. What's the fun in that? Sigh

Apparently I jinxed myself.... see this thread....
It may lead to the ootion of Spin to win, killing a brand new tire in blaze of smoke!

Awe dude that sucks. The nail looks like it hit an area that can't be "officially" repaired. This happened to me last summer when I was in SoCal driving a rental Camry SE. The tire repair shop didn't want to repair it, I convinced them to just patch it up so I can get to where I need to go, they finally did it but told me if it blows its on me and made me sign a paper saying they are not liable. Hopefully this lasts you until you can get a new tire

Maybe we can create a sticky for electrical issues and questions.

At least start a thread and post meaningful links to threads with solutions. In short, as active members find Solid Posts, Post a link in *new electrical thread*, then once we get enough good links, roll them into one post and sticky IT...
I'd be mod here, but already a mod in two other forums...
