Hello i have Lexus IS 250awd 2006 year, i would you something about noise when iam a starting engine at the begining something rattle or scratching in engine its about 1 seconds, do you help me with this some tips? thanks

 

It might be your polly did you see your belt ?

 

I have no clue what "polly" is, let alone someone in Slovakia using online translator to communicate.

 

Haha I think he meant pulley! I think on both sides, English is not the native language from seeing another post (or lots of typos!)

 

A video would definitely be helpful. One second noise during startup sounds like the cam gear rattle. IS350s of that vintage were recalled for it, but I understand that some IS250 owners have had the problem too.

 

Could be worn cam gears - very common on this engine.

Rattle yes, screeching no. So maybe it has both a glazed belt and VVTi cam gear rattle?

I want to hear this *Scratching* sound!
