Hi,
Check system light mostly means faulty sensor/s which needs replacement, not just programming. The light can't be turned off.

I suggest using Tech stream to determine how many sensors are faulty and program new ones yourself.

For the dealer of course the charge will differ from case to case but will be higher.

+1.

If the light is on, you have a faulty sensor and it will need to be replaced. There's really no way for you to check which one is bad yourself unless you have access to Techstream. Just about any tire place can do this for you though, and replacing the sensor shouldn't be more than $20-30 on top of the cost for the sensor. A Denso sensor can be had from Amazon for $40, give or take.

you can go to your local America's tire and they can diagnose the sensor (and even clear the light) for free!
yes likely one of the batteries in a sensor is low, but at least they will be able to tell you which one by the scanner they use.

the scanner as the ability to scan the health of each sensor and program them back into the TPMS ecu.

You probably need new sensors if they are over 7 years. A whole set of OEM Denso/Pacific brand are $135 on ebay. I've been on mine for 1.5 years.

On Amazon for $35 each prime. https://amzn.to/2PBty8m
