Beautiful twins! My goal is to sell my IS 350 in a few years and pickup another 5 to 9 year old IS 350 or IS F, and continue the cycle. I will probably shoot for a 2016 next. No car payment, and let someone else depreciate it for me!

Thanks guys, the red one is the 6th ten year old Lexus I’ve driven home to Wisconsin from Florida. It’s a college grad present for my youngest daughter.
Seems like 10 year old with 120K miles is a sweet spot for $7500 or so.
The Lexus melting dash issue has been good to me also. The 07 350 got all 4 door panels and dash after I bought it.
Took the red one in last week, they’ve ordered dash and front door panels under the warranty program.
Here’s a pic of the RXs my wife and other daughter are driving. One came from Florida, got a new dash in that one too.

You were able to still get the dash warranty ?

Yep, they told me last week on the 2009 which was made in April, making it past the original 10 year limit qualifies because it has been extended to 2021.
they said if the back doors get worse/sticky in the next year and a half to bring it back for those too.

Why did they extend the deadline for your car? I tried looking to see if I could get it done to my car since it’s a 06. But it doesn’t look bad I just want to have it done. Sadly the pervious owner didn’t do it.

When did you take it in? Sounded to me like the extension just got approved for all sticky dashes.
Id call your dealer and ask them to double check.
Mine dealer called today to confirm they will be warranted and have been shipped. Just need to take it in when they arrive.

I never actually took my car in. I just assume that it was way too late. Since I just bought my car a few months ago and the deadline for my car would of ended by the end primary coverage which was back in 2017

im looking up this extension and im seeing that all ISFs and ISC 250/350 have the extension until 2021. not the regular 2IS 250/350. So i dont understand how they gave the extension to you. guess the lexus dealership you went knew about the extension but didn't realize it was only on the ISF and ISC

Uh-oh, hope they don’t change their mind.
seems like the dealerships like warranty work.

I guess my dealer knows the system. I’m picking it up tomorrow with new dash and front door panels. Usually I don’t like working with dealerships but the lead tech here and I hit it off (we both shoot Sig 9s). He was impressed with the walnut blast job I did on the intake valves after I showed him the video.

Kinda bummed it’s done already cuz they gave me a brand new IS300 F Sport as a loner car to drive for 3 days. Nice!

Looking forward when these are 10 years old, might replace my IS350.

Yeah the sides on the seat backs come forward much farther than my 350, really hold you in place pulling on ramps.
Kinda scared has 9K on it and I don’t want to hit a deer or scratch it.
Smacked one this spring with the 350...
