Oil change
When doing an oil change with filter change. Should I fill the full amount which in the UK is 6.3L regardless of if I was able to drain 6.3L? I remember last time I waited a very long time for the oil to completely drain and even then it wasnt 6L it was more like 5 point something litres.

I would put in 6 liters, drive the car enough to warm it up, turn it off and wait 10 minutes, and then check the oil level on the dipstick. If it needs more, then add it. As another data point, when I change my oil, I put in 6.7 US quarts, which is 6.3L.

I put 6 litres in, level the car back down, check the dip stick, add more, check the stick, repeat until at the maximum line. After a couple KMs I check the stick again and add if needed

I initially add 6 quarts into my 250, run the engine to develop pressure and fill the oil filter, turn off the engine for 5 mins and recheck the levels and add more as necessary.
make sure you are on level ground when doing the fluid check (obvious but worth mentioning).
you will not be able to fully drain the full capacity of the engine, this is normal, unless you are taking it fully apart.

Always follow the Spec-Guide on the manual. There are allowances made when they specify the volume of oil needed. Hence your oil dipstick has a low and high indicator. When the oil level is in between, you are working on the normal range and there is no negative impact on the engine.
