I had the same issue {regarding VSC Check and several lights including Check Engine}. It was random at first and would come on, stay on for a couple of days, then go away. Then it stayed on. Took it to the mechanic and they suggested I replace the MAF sensor. They recommended I do the job myself, it would save me a lot. Purchased a MAF sensor for $20 on amazon with OEM specs. The same part at Advanced Auto was $150. Toyota brand was a little over $200. It took 5 minutes to replace and did the trick. Just make sure you reset your car's computer after install. The warning lights will go away after a bit of driving either way.

Default MAF purchase for 06 IS350

I had the same issues with the VSC, check engine come on reading other post I thought it was the transmission. Went to Autozone they hooked up diagnostic and it was something about rich fuel banks the suggestion was MAF sensor replacement they wanted $130. I watched Youtube videos about cleaning it up with the end of a screwdriver and carb cleaner don't touch the sensors my car would start but not stay on, after that. That video from a supposedly mechanic was a crock. Other videos will tell you not to use carb cleaner but a specific sensor cleaner. I bought through Amazon also but it was saturday I had them ship it to me by sunday I paid $27. replaced the thing. The connectors broke apart as the plastic had become very brittle but I put electrical tape all around. Did not reset the computer but within 2 days things were as they should. Replacing the sensor also resolved an issue that I was having for a while. Valve tapping sound under acceleration but now it is all good my car runs like new..

For those of you who replaced the MAF sensor, can you link to the one you purchased on amazon?

I had the same problem this week on my ~145k 2006 IS250. Came on last night when i hit the gas hard on the highway. Car ran fine the rest of the evening. This morning, still showed check vsc and the warning lights. Filled up the gas tank and suddenly everything went away! So strange.

I checked the MAF sensor and it is good. I then noticed that none of the climate control buttons are working. I checked the fuse under the driver side, it was good. Could this be the cause of these lights? The same fuse I checked also controls the shift lock.

** DO NOT use Carb Cleaner **
Use MAF cleaner ONLY and do not touch or attempt mechanical cleaning. If spraying Mass Air Flow sensor cleaner does not work, replace the sensor.
