Default Help recommend upgraded LED Tail lights, Brake and Reverse

As you've been following along with my rear-ended IS350, I need to replace the tail lights and might as well upgrade them to LED's. Help recommend the 4 piece upgrade tail, brake, and reverse lamps to LED's. What's the best value, best looking set? What would look best for a blue color sedan? Preferably smoked or blacked out or would white be better looking?

Just get taillights form 2011+, don't get ebay crap. I believe one the 2011's are mostly led and you can always put an led bulb in for the reverse lights. The ebay stuff looks nice for a while and then usually fails, its not worth the hassle imho.

2009-2013 are the new design taillights. 09-10 have an orange cover over the turn signal, while 11+ have a clear cover. You will need the harnesses. You also need to make a slight modification to them to get them to fit. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...tallation.html

There's also the IS-F tails, they look like the 06-08's but have a clear turn signal cover instead of the orange.

Just an FYI, the turn signals/reverse lights are still halogens. It's just the design of the taillight itself and the running lights have changed when compared to the 06-08 tails. Unfortunately, they're not cheap compared to 06-08 tails, I've been looking for a set for a while and people seem to want 300-400 for a complete set, while you can find 06-08's for nearly 100 a set.

I have after market taillight for awhile and did not have any problem. Of course some members (small amount) does have little problem with it but not all us of. Take a look at aftermarket taillight thread, you will find a lot of info about it and all the problem they have.

The Junyan Spec-D go for cheap. Links above compare them. They fit OK but may not be as bright as OEM. Turn indicators are red vs yellow. I personally don't care for clear lens view of LEDs inside but the price was right.

I had my smoked red SpecD on my ISF for over a year and even with 3x a week laser touch car washes and rain and snow driving, they never failed. Have had the Vland smoked red for about a month and zero issues with them, I like their design more. Both sets were under $300 and came with 1 year warranty.

I compare the specd/vland here

Did you need any resistors, or did you need to change the flasher relay considering the turn signals are LEDs on those? Have had no lucky in finding a decently priced pair of 11+ tails (or 09-11), so I'd consider these honestly.

The SpecD come with all resistors/relays you may need, I am not mechanically inlicined but was easily able to install/wire them up within an hour. The Vland come wired and are plug and play, install took about 30 minutes.
