Type of Coolant--no wait, I mean refrigerant!
 

Hi Guys, hope you had a great summer!
It's still summer in Florida--and my AC is pretty weak these days. Some days it's 90 degrees in my car.
There are no leaks, car is my baby. I'm thinking I can use my manual and put in the right coolant however the manual indicates.
Yes? Please, what type of coolant to use? Thanks. Mine is a very cute, in-shape 2006 IS 250 with about 140k miles.

For the cooling AC system you need Freon, not coolant.

We have a nephew who, when he was a baby, we called The Fig. Just kinda fit.

I don't know if these have a sight glass as I've never went looking for it. But many Yoda's used to have pencil sized clear window to see the freon on the high pressure side. If low, you see liquid surge through in bubbles.

Your best bet is to just to take it in and have it serviced. Also make sure BOTH fans are coming on (front of car) when parked w AC on.

If you really need R-134a you may have a leak???????????????

Thanks. Actually, the left fan is blowing cooler than the right fan is. I did decide to take it in. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks for advising and contributing.
