IS350 Alternator rebuild DIY...?
 

1. Anyone done it?
2. Is it worth it?
3. Are there any kits available for ours?

I've never personally done but a local rebuild place here in Miami rebuilt my sisters IS250 alternator for $110.00 and it worked perfectly.

There must be as there are rebuilt units out there. Rebuilt meaning not remanufactured.

I bet many of the internal parts like the rectifier are the same throughout yoda land based upon amperage. Ours being 150Amp.
A certain yoda website lists pretty much all of parts internal and external from the base PN: 27060-31060 lists for $400....

Unfortunately they made it difficult to find the rectifier PN which is the weak link.
Edit: unless they sell it with the Coil Assy which seems unlikely but possible. Which cost more that the whole Alt! lol
