I fill up at Shell with 91 V-Power almost everytime. I've started to hear the knock again occasionally. I would say its reduced up to 95% from before. I didn't get the chance to check the fuel filter but I'm quite certain is was just clogged and the engine was running lean.

There may be some stuff stuck in the rest of the fuel system if anything got by the filter. Do you think any of these fuel system cleaners work or would it just be a waste of my time to try them?

I throw a large bottle of Chevron Techron in 3 to 4 times a year for preventative maintenance. Its fuel system cleaner. That said you have nothing to loose but $$$...

As for the filter its pretty much just a strainer stopping the chunks.
