Air bag recall and heated seats not working
Hello,
I am not mechanically-inclined so please excused this post. Yesterday, I took my vehicle in for the recall. After the work was completed, I left the dealership and the heated seats on the driver and passenger's seat were not working.
Back to the dealership where I was told the heated-seat switch were broken. Now my confusion is how could this happen?
Thank you in advance,
Chris

It's possible that they disconnected a wire and didn't properly connect it back, or a fuse might've blown. I would try checking the fuse first and rule that out.
I'm not too sure about the exact electrical connections of the car. When I took mine in for a recall, I believe they broke my AC blend door assembly (so it is stuck in fresh air), and they flat out denied it, and then tried to charge me 1600 to repair it. I laughed in their face and told them no. Ended up ordering the plastic assembly for 30 bucks online (only needed a small plastic piece of the assembly), and took apart my glove compartment box to repair it.

I was told that the switch is broken and it's being replaced; curiosity is killing me.

When I brought my car in for the recall they forgot to connect the GPS cable to the Nav unit. It's possible that they could have missed a wire when putting everything it back in place.

Well my heated seats are working again as I took my IS back to the dealership- the replacement switch and labour were free so it must have been damaged during the airbag recall work.

Glad they didn't charge you. I don't trust the dealership sometimes. Almost everytime I bring my car in I seem to leave with another new issue.
