Buying a 2011 IS350 Any special things to know about that model year?
After trying a '13 535i, '15 E350, and a couple of others, I'm coming back to Lexus again. Just a little background; in 2006 I made the mistake of ordering a 330i and convinced myself that IS350 was not the right choice at that time.
Now I've come full circle and want to make up for lost time.
Anything in particular to worry about in an '11 IS350? I'm hoping any issues that existed were resolved in the "refresh".

I have a 2011 IS350 which I purchased brand new at the time.
I did have the timing cover oil leak two years after I bought the car but it was covered under the warranty. I've heard some IS350s have this problem.
There was also bubbling in the paint in the headlight housing likely due to the heat of the HID bulbs inside. Some people who had the 2011-2013 IS also had this issue. The headlights were replaced under warranty.
Other than these things, I really like my IS350!

You're welcome! Hope it goes smoothly. Just wondering, does the IS350 have the F-Sport package or is it non-F-Sport?

There are rare issues that pop up; but overall, the IS350 platform continues to be a strong, reliable workhorse of a car. Been driving my third owner 2006 IS350 since April 2011, and besides normal brake pads and such, only my alternator and NAV unit have failed on me. Both common on older 2IS models in general.
You'll enjoy the vehicle I'm sure!
