TMPS how does it work?

Like everyone is saying the system takes about 30-50 miles of driving to realize a problem when no sensors are seen. Usually “Check system” error, not low pressure warning.
It it also takes 45-50 psi to “wake” the Pacific sensors. If you don’t have a special tool.
I remember Lexus tech told me that when he programmed my spare set of TPMS when I bought my car.
I recently put my original rims and tires on while getting my 20s refinished. The stocks hadn’t been used in 6 years and before that when car was new. I got a “Check System” after a day of driving. Plug tech stream up and two of the four TPMS didn’t have readings. I left techstream connected and aired the problem tires to 50 psi, and they started transmitting. I assumed the went into a deep sleep mode after sitting in storage for 6 years. Been riding on them for 3 weeks and a few road trips. No warnings or TPMS errors.
The black set makes perfect sense. mount 3 blacks and 1 red, lights on.... Mount all black, lights off. Drop the pressure in one of the blacks, light goes on....
The red set makes no sense. TPMS light is off no matter what you do..................
And just for everyones sake I bought a new set of TPMS for the red set and installed them all today. Programmed them to the car, check. Drove around, check. Dropped the air in two tires to 15psi, check. TPMS lights still off, check..... what????? how the hell? So go back throw all the black sets on, check. Drive about 5 miles down the road to my buddies house (we erased the black set so the TPMS light is currently on). When we get there we reprogram the black
THIS MAKES NO SENSE
I don't know how to dumb it down more then that. Lexus says its because the rims were programmed to the same generation and model?!?!?! still makes no sense?
