lopezva,
Where did you get the 1.03 tune? they never let us know about the update.

I just re-updated the handheld on my laptop and it took about 30 min to update. it was at 1.02xxx then updated to 1.03xxx or something like that. But basically it added a 6700 rpm, along with the original tuned rpm's @91 or 93 octane. Im still running the 7400 rpm and it seemed smoother now. Before the update my tune honestly felt like a turbo lag, but now its just smooth all the way through which I like.

+1 to this. I'll have to check for updates when I get home. Hopefully 1.03 helps improve the transmission more than anything.

Thumbs up

This is the reply I got from OVtune: "we will have it available soon".
That's good news, so far I'm pretty happy with the tune (1.02), hopefully the 1.03 is even better.

Thats weird my update read 1.32 or something instead of 1.03 but it had more options on the tune... it should have just updated by itself when you open it on the laptop.

Does the 1.03 tune the transmission at all?

Umm i noticed it helps with staying in gear if that helps, For example i did a 70 roll and floored it in 4th, itd shift to 3rd automatically, now that I updated it, I floor it in 4th and it stays in 4th.

Sounds like progress. Drive the car for a bit, experiment with the transmission, and let us know if there are any more differences!

I'd guess if you could get the AFR nearer 13.0:1 you'd make more power! Any options?

I found the update too and it also says 1.32, I couldn't find 1.03 anywhere, weird. It also took around 30 minutes to update. I don't remember the instructions how to flash the ecu, must have delete them by mistake. Can you send them to me on my pm? Would really appreciate it.
Never mind, I found it on their website but thanks anyway.

Yea when the results showed the guy said I should email OV to try and get the AFR a little higher up, but I'm not too sure how to fix that? Just have my joe-z pipe and cut a hole in the stock air box for more air possibly?

Sorry I would have replied sooner haha. But yea with the 1.32 it seems smoother and stays in gear instead of downshifting by itself all the time when giving about half throttle so im pleased with the update.

This is probably a question best left to the tuners. I'd message OV or RR Racing to see if this is an effective (and reliable) strategy to increase power. Part of me just doesn't think it is that simple but I could be completely wrong.
