So who was at the COTA night track event this week?
Pro racecar driver friend of mine was down at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in TX setting up for the upcoming World Challenge race and sent me this pic.
That's me! I managed to hit 127mph on the back straight in my IS350 and could have done a few mph higher if I had gotten used to the amazingly late braking possible with the Carbotech pads.
I saw two ISFs there also. There wasn't time for as many laps as I would have liked due to a red flag during one session and a black flag ending another session early, but it was a great experience and extremely cheap ($175 or $150 with coupon code) compared to all other events I have ever seen at COTA even though there was only 1 hour of total track time scheduled per run group. Hopefully SCCA Track Night will do it again next year!

I'm a little jealous, COTA looks like an amazing track! Looking forward to your pictures.
It is amazing - the elevation changes make it interesting and it is very technical. The photos don't do justice to how steep that hill is before turn 1.
