How many 2IS owners have mileage greater than 100K?

As the title implies, I'm curious as to how many 2IS owners have over 100k miles on their vehicle. How's it holding up, stilling running strong? Any issues? Just curious.

2008 IS350, 114k. Runs like a top, occasional shudder at idle during a hot day. Replaced the alternator at 94k, but other than that *knocks on wood* everything is ship shape. Love her still like day 1 :)

178k miles on 220D, still no hint of headgasket problems which are typical for Toyotas 4D4 engines *knocks on wood*
Still with original DPF aswell, but that will be changed soon :p

108k on my '06 IS350. Only have replaced the alternator and the NAV screeen during my ownership. Plus then you have the usual maintenance items : tires, brake pads, fluids, batteries, alignments, etc etc. But I've got < $500 into the car ABOVE the normal wear and tear items. That's EXCELLENT in my book!

119K on my '06. Just regular maintenence and recalls. I'm glad there are 2IS out there with over 200k with little problems.

i am at around 188,000km so i guess is 116,800 miles... didn't really had any problems except recently the motor or whatever u call it for the dual zone climate control died, so driver side have cold air and passenger side have warm air... also put in a new battery earlier this year... nav dvd drive crap out 2 yrs ago... i think there is a little seepage in the oil pan gasket, other than that nothing is wrong...

2008 IS250 at 178K miles, 2nd owner (my brother was the first owner). I've had a plenty of things replaced: rear struts ~90k, water pump, r/f speed sensor, catalytic converter (almost $2000), charcoal canister, both left and right cv axles, and all the recalls and other basic maintenance

Rapha3178 08-01-17 10:21 AM

2006 is250 second owner
209,000 miles DD
at 174,000 miles carbon build up rebuilt by Lexus dealer
same time new water pump and spark plugs
At this time about to do suspension and wheels Or to trade for is350

I have an IS250 with 162k miles on it. I am the only owner. Problems with the car listed below.
  • Transmissions problems with check engine light ended up having Lexus replace one of the solenoids.
  • Water pump replaced.
  • Rough Idle - has happened twice in the last 3 months. The car struggles to accelerate. Have not been able to get a CEL code on it. Usually, after restarting the car the symptoms disappear.

08 IS350 with 180k km
only thing outside of regular maintenance is a/c compressor replacement

karasha 08-02-17 06:20 AM

'06 IS350 with 109k miles on it. I am the second owner; bought it in 2009 with 14k miles.
The car was a DD for about 4 years, and the past 3-4 years it nearly just sits in the garage most of the time, accruing no more than 150 miles/year.

Car has only had one mechanical problem outside normal wear and tear -- I am having to replace the waterpump, as I have a very small leak. But the car is supercharged and pushed pretty hard whenever I do drive it, so for it to only have a waterpump fail is really a testament to Lexus engineers.

Nice, I was looking for a thread like this. I have 209K on my 2008 IS350, original owner. Outside of the normal wear & tear and recalls, Within the past 8 months I've had to change the alternator, water pump, thermostat, and rear fuel pump.
