08 IS250 ejects CD's randomly
 

Hey guys, my wife's car just started doing this. Just bought it used about 3000 miles ago. Has about 104K on it now. I came across a couple threads, but they were really old back to 2010/2011 and everything was "bring it to dealer for replacement".

Well obviously I can't do that and was wondering (this many years later) if anyone knew WHY it does this and possibly how to fix it.

You can open it up to see if the connections/buttons are loose -- though this is more likely if it rejects when the car hits a bump. If I were you, I would just try to install an aftermarket add-on to play from bluetooth and USB if you don't have that option in the car already.

Sounds more like a loading mechanism problem. You'll need to remove it and send it to United Radio in Syracuse NY or Willmans electronics in Garland TX to fix it. Looking at a couple of hundred to fix it. You may be able to find a used one for less.

Mine has done this a few times if I hit a large bump even though the CD player was not in use at the time. I am curious to know the cause too...maybe a loose electrical connection somewhere.

Mine did this once and never really did it again. I think it might have been because the system got too hot and glitched or something. Have you tried re entering the CDs back in after it ejected them?

I have the same issue....whether on FM, or Ipod...suddenly switches to CD and ejects. I simply re-insert and go back to what I was listening to with no further error on that trip.it has been very hot of late so will keep an eye on it let you know if it corrects itself or replace. 2010 IS350C
