This car has been toying with emos lol.

since parts were not arriving until next week I took the liberty to wash the car. I definitely spent my time with the wheels and brakes flushing cleaning everything.

i go to pull it out of the garage and no clicks squeaks....... I took it for an hour drive on the turnpike and abused the brakes.....nothing. Idk what is going on... I guess I shouldn't complain when everything is working as intended but there needs to be an explanation for this.

the lotus forums state brake dust by/on the piston is the cause and it will come
back after being cleaned. Time will tell.

Sorry, cannot help but LOL in times like this! What you copied/pasted makes sense; but have you taken the thing apart previously?

never took it apart before. And since it will be apart, I'm going to clean it as best as I can.

They don't use torque-yield screws/bolt on that 2-pc rotor do they? What threadlocker, if any, do they recommend? I'd assume blue.

6ft lbs per bolt eh. Seems low to me, but they're the OE...they'd know best.

Let us know how it goes!

Well I went hard on the brakes yesterday. No noises, just the occasional click which I think might be the exhaust or brakes cooling down.
