Coolant Leak Water Outlet Assembly
I have a 07 IS250 AWD and it overheated the other day, I just got the car and they put a new water pump on because the bearing went bad. I was driving with the A/C on and the car over heated this was the first time it has done this. I just got the used in April with 65000 miles on it. We thought it might be the thermostat but once we put that on we noticed leaking coming from underneath the screen near the bottom of the thermostat housing. We think there my be a crack in the water outlet assembly has anyone had this issue?

It overheated after they changed the water pump? Its possible they didn't bleed all the air out of the system before giving it to you. If you trap bubbles in there, it'll overheat pretty quick. Hopefully they didn't over tighten the bolts holding the thermostat housing on and snap some off. It would be wise to do some looking around for yourself to find the culprit.

Yeah but it's been like 2 months since they changed it and when I pressed the water hose it was making a noise like air was escaping somewhere. Thank you for the advice I will continue to look.
