2nd gen Avalon Front Left ABS speed sensor compatible with 2nd gen GS?

2nd gen Avalon Front Left ABS speed sensor compatible with 2nd gen GS?
Hey,
I'm about to buy a 2000 Lexus GS300 but the Front Left ABS Speed Sensor (Parts #8954330160) is broken (cable is cut at its base so I can't resolder it). Guy that's selling me the car told me the 2nd gen Toyota Avalon Front Left ABS speed sensor (Parts #8954307010) might fit, but I don't know for sure. The GS300 sensor costs CAD$230 on Rockauto, while the Toyota one costs CAD$70, so there's a big difference. Anyone can tell me for sure? Looking at both, they certainly look similar, but I don't know for sure.
