IS 250 door change
Hi Expert people,
I have a quick question. I bought a 2006 Lexus IS250 silver color car. I love the car but the only problem is its have a small dent and scratch mark in passenger side FR & RR door. I got a quote from body shop they are asking $1600 to $2500 to fixed it. I found complete replacement parts from a nearby junk yard. They are asking both for $700.
But my question is
01. Is it OK to replace the part? Two potential problem
a. Color might not be exact match
b. I am not sure is there any airbag sensor in the door side? I might have to reprogram it. If so how much that will cost me.
c. Did anybody replace the door for Lexus Is250?
Thanks in advance and any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

One thing to consider is that they will probably sell you a bare door which means without any electrical, glass, window regulator so you will have to swap all those over from your current doors.
Also taking the doors off is fairly easy take off the fender on the side you are working on then remove driver door followed by passenger and reinstall in reverse. Note that you will need to align both door first before bolting the fender back on.

No pictures of the damage? Experienced PDR (paintless dent repair) guys can frequently work miracles, and generally charge $100 or less per panel. A good detailer may be able to buff out the scratch, or at least make it a lot less noticeable, again for around $100.
