Default Bad Rear Sway Bar End Link?

Installed my new F Sport sway bars today. For the rear, the left rear sway bar end link kept spinning when I tired to remove the nut and when I put the nut back on. The end link leaked some dark fluid from it when I was messing with the end link, trying to get the nut off and on. Is this end link bad and needs to be replaced? Video has much better description. I've looked up how to tell if end links are bad, and most of the results say if you hear a clinking noise. Well, I can't say I've heard any noises because I usually have the radio on. I tired to get the best pictures I could given the situation I was under the car.

I'd just replace them if the grease leaked out. Eventually they'll start getting noisy if all of the grease leaked out. It looks like the rubber boot is popped off a bit as well, so it's pretty likely it'll eventually leak out completely.

I think you'll be ok for now. Just clean up the grease and monitor if more grease is leaking everywhere after a few days.

$40 for a new set. Why not?

I purchased a pair of MOOG K750288 Problem Solver end links for $70. Couldn't find any new OEM ones.

any pressure and twist will leak the fluid from inside the end links boot. when I place my Sway bar it also leak, I still use it bcuz it still functions fine and im a lazy person. this was a year ago.

good to know that replacement end links aren't expensive. I've got my own F sport sway bar set coming in the next weeks so I'll look out for this potential problem as well.

I drove the car around last night, didn't notice any clunks or rattles. Checked the end link and didn't see any fluid leak. I'll just keep riding on it until it goes bad, at least I'll have the parts readily available.
