No residue or corrosion, but looking at the temp one that was put in...it looks like the first few threads were not perfect... =|

hey man, im currently in the same boat but somehow I just can't get the bolt head to bust. (Im using an impact drill)
any tips/tricks on how you got yours to break?... hopefully you'd recall, i did notice this post is a few years old. thanks in advance!

Best tip I can give you here at this post.

I used a bit that was about the width as the opening of the hexagon. If you removed another bolt you can match the size of your drill bit to the width of the threads. Note in a few pics down, the drilled out hexagon bolt, the interior shape is gone.

Just have to go slow until the head becomes separated from the threaded region.

My scenario was a little bit different, the end of th Allen wrench broke inside the bolt.



Luckily pulling around w a sharp pick tool and a magnet, the broken piece came off. Did find those in the pocket manilfold holes to be the most difficult to take out, break out from been so tight.

WD40 works with stuck nuts-bolts. Spray some a few days before you unscrew them, works all the time.

In this case. I'm not sure if the oil would even reach the threads. The bolt head sits about 3/8" above on the sleeve inserts on the intake manifold.
