This morning I went out and noticed that the front lights on my 2010 IS 250 AWD were on and very dim. I tried opening the driver side door but found that it would not work because the battery was dead. I popped off the cover for the key entry and opened the door using the key within the fob. Once the door was opened there were no interior lights. I noticed that the lights were set "on" rather than "auto". The car detailer must have brushed over the control stick and changed the position from auto on "on". My suspension is this is why the battery was dead. I tried starting the car but nothing happened (not even a sound). I began to jump the car and as soon as I attached all the leads the alarm on the IS 250 started to sound. Since I was trying this at 4:30 am, I disconnected the leads so my neighbors wouldn't come out and loose it on me. Is it normal for the alarm to start sounding when all leads are hooked up? Also, how do I turn it off once the car is jumped? Any help here would be greatly appreciated! Leads were hooked up correctly, FYI

Try hitting unlock on your fob once the alarm sounds.
This is definitely normal as I work in the auto industry and see this with OEM and aftermarket alarms.

Jumped it a little while ago (more reasonable hours for the neighbors to hear some beeping and lights flashing). Alarm started up again and once I started the car alarm went off.
