G35S in my price range were garbage and IS350's were a little more than I wanted to pay. Anyway, I wanted a manual even though its sourced from a plebeian Toyota truck.

I'm not a speed freak as I was when I was in my 20's w/my 300zx, just wanting to get to work reliably and comfortably.
Its red and has 121K miles and buying from BMW of Nashville, got a pretty good deal and I'm stoked.

Now I'll accept any and ALL information and advice about this car and its much appreciated.

Congratulations! Hope you enjoy it. I'd imagine its a much different driving experience compared to the 6AT.

Just make sure the carbon buildup is cleaned out or was fixed and make sure to have copies of service records and such. Just out of curiosity, did you look at a TL Type-S 6MT?

I did, and I'm an ex TL owner. I just don't like the look of the older TL's.

Welcome to the few and proud club....having the 6MT helps keep the small engine in the power band.
The car is not a 0-60 car but 60-100 is smooth and steady on the highway.

You should confirm if the airbag recall is done (I doubt it due to lack of parts). My wife's 2007 IS250 6MT has been sitting in the garage since July 2016 due to this airbag recall.
There were also few other recalls so you should check the Lexus Owner site to makes sure all other recalls were completed.

Also, hopefully the car you're planning to purchase has carbon build up fix done.
