Even if the power gains on the IS250 are laughable I still hope to get it to 190 whp even if it's not cost effective. I saw a dyno of an 07 AWD IS250 put 165 whp so I figure intake +5, exhaust +5, TTFS tune + 15 would be good enough for me.

These car's can't make power and it's too hard to make power out of it too. It's better to just enjoy it for what it is.

I've had my 2010 AWD for about 10 months. I quickly realized that it had no chance to make it any faster. So I just focused on the handling. It's still slow, but it makes it just fun for some spirited driving. I did install the 3rd gen stock f sport intake pipe. It gives it a nice mellow growl like a short ram intake kit. If you are looking for HP the 350/IS-F is your best bet.

I dont quite understand why people buy a pretty slow car in the first place and immediately want to make it fast (which is almost never possible on NA engine without FI). I would understand if you had a car for a while and it got boring, then you mod.....
But seriously, selling 250 and buying 350 is the best mod you can do for power gains. I am used to faster cars and we bought my wife 350 RWD......even though my current BMW is faster, I still like that engine in IS. AWD is not worth it in MASS

i have 350 AWD and it's fast, if you live in snow Province or State AWD 350 will be the King ! feel the power and super grip with or without snow tires. RWD will be fine with snow tires but will be nasty if you live in Hill area, especially when u go uphill downhill .

IS250 is for women, intake exhaust or mod chip are just for fun won't gain much HP, buy an AWD IS350 engine and swap like one of the MOD on this forum, swapped his 250 engine with 350 and re-badge it to 350 LOL, that's Jeff Lange right ? return the car and exchange for 350, the 350 interior and trunk has more space than 250.

Yeah I got 2nd winter sets on my cars. Drove IS in snow brizard last year up to 50-55mph on hway etc. 1 hour from home to work....Zero issues. I wouldn't trust all season to do the same job.
PS. After driving slow Civic for several years, wife was completely against getting 250 and considering 350 is a better over all engine it was no brainier. I like the car so much, wanted to buy ISF for myself, unfortunately they are overpriced IMO

Me and my son went to Lexus dealer and tested 250 and 350, even my Son told me 350 has more room dad, he sit in the front in 350 without issue and he's 6 feet tall, he COULD NOT SIT in the 250 with his legs relax, my wife also sit in the back behind him, with the 350 i wife fell comfortable but the 250 she fell so tight, i'm 5'11 tall, when 3 of us in 250, i fell NO POWER but 350 oh wow awesome. i immediately told the sale man hook me up with 350. RWD will pull faster but i asked myself do i need to go that fast in SNOW ? so i got the 350 AWD top of the line Luxury package. it's 2012 IS350 AWD, you're wondering 2006-2010 2nd Gen IS series ?

LOL i thinking to buy an IS-F but 2011-2014 one not the 2008-2010. there was snow storm others day in Toronto Canada, wow the IS350 AWD did even better with snow tires, i never had winter tires before in my life this year i'd like to try out and i really impressed, the SNow Mode on our IS350AWD is so useful.

The ETC POWER on the 350 also effective too, i fell nothing with 250 when i turn the etc-power on but this 2012 IS350 i really fell something, the engine kicks in when i turn on and off, it does really give you power and smooth in Sport mode. my Wife says get the RC-F in couple more years, that's gonna be 50k $ grands .

Yeah I was looking at 2011-2014 ISFs. I have no idea how some pay $40k USD even today for 2012s. I had opportunity to get 2012 a year ago for like $34-35k. I was thinking about importing 2014 from Canada too when exchange rate was a bit better, as far as I remember almost new 2014s were around $44-45k with import tax included (should've imported and sold to someone here for $55k lol). It still didnt make much sense when I was able to pickup almost brand new BMW with same performance numbers + warranty + free maintenance for less then ISF with 50k miles.

The Lexus IS Gen II was produced from 2006 to 2013. Dimensionally all sedans from that area (IS250 & IS350) are the same. The AWD has a bit less foot room in front because of the front dif. but otherwise the same. Glad you're happy with your 2012 " top of the line Luxury package" IS350.

No, 350 leg room is longer and armrest is wider, Trunk i'm not sure i assumed it's bigger, the gas pedal and brake pedal also has more room, do you remember the 2006-2010 IS has a recall for gas pedal and floor mat ? 2011-2013 version has changed a bit.

$48k CAD or USD ? Back when I was looking they had 2014 USB and White ISF for $59k CAD.....I think $42-44k USD + need to pay like 2.5% import tax is it...
