Default Need Help! The floor is rising on driverside

Hi Guys, I first want to say thanks in advance and that I've used this site before for all my Lexus's and this community as always been helpful. Now to my issue.

I just got a 2008 Is250 awd 102k last week. I was driving today and went to put some gas and when I got back in the car I noticed my leg was closer to the center console so I put my hand down and saw that the floor looks like it has a ball coming from under. So strange. So as I'm driving it goes down for a sec and the goes up. I've never seen anything like it. The car is driving fine but just this tumor coming from the floor. I looked under to maybe see something but nothing. I plan on having someone look at it but I wanted to know if you guys have ever heard of such a thing.

Thanks

I was going to suggest it was just the hump in the floor for the transfer assembly on AWD models, but if it is moving around, that's a bit strange.

Any pictures?

Do you have any other pictures? Maybe from further away or pointing to the problem? Based on what I'm making out in these pictures it all looks normal, haha.

Unless pictures don't do justice to the issue? Perhaps video of it happening? There really isn't much going on in that area of the car, it's pretty much just the floor with the transfer assembly underneath it.

So which part is moving around?

For reference, here's what it should look like in a new'ish car:

Thanks Jeff. You put me at ease. I looked more online and the awd have that hump. I think I may have not noticed it till today. I've had a rwd is before and when I saw it I panicked. The moved part could of been in my head as probably my leg got use to it feeling like it went down lol.

This thread gave me a good lol, but I totally get it. It's like when you see a ding on your car and you're not sure if it was already there or not -_-

Most suspenseful thread ever - I kept reading from comment to comment in order wondering what the moving hump could possibly be! I feel like I just lived someone else's nightmare for a moment! I was like "Cat got into the transfer assembly somehow?" LOL!
