Disconnect the battery again for 20 minutes and then re-connect again. See if it works this time.

I'm to lazy to look in the owners manual but you may have to reset it/re calibrate it. Turn the car into the on position and turn the wheel all the way to the right as far as it goes. Then turn it to the left as far as it goes. This might reset it.

Now I don't know if this is how it works for he IS350 but on some other vehicle models this is how it works.

Check your owners manual to see if it has anything in it about this.

It wouldn't be the first time I've read about a power steering ecu going bad.

You might want to check your fuses under drivers side dash. Not sure which one it is but maybe LH-IG or FR S/HTR LH. I lost power steering when I pulled one of these fuses out.

You can buy a salvage ECU on https://www.benzeenautoparts.com/
They have them for different models and years and they come with a 1 year warranty.
I got one and my power steering is fixed now. First one was no good but they sent me a second one right away under warranty.

Checked electrolytic high value capacitors on the ECU B4 replacing the whole unit?
