I recently bought a set of Xenon D4S HID 5000K bulbs for my 2011 IS350 F Sport. After installing them, they look bright from the outside but from the driver's view they look more 6000K than they are 5000K.

When the weekend came around and I got the chance to compare it to other car enthusiasts with 5000K and 6000K HIDs. Mine is clearly more like 6000K than that it states on their website.

I contacted Xenon Depot and they responded with their HID are accurately rated at 5000K. Definitely not the 5000K I compared it with.

Has anyone ran the XD D4S 5000K HID before?

Not D4S but I used to have a Xenon Depot 5000k foglight set in my 08 IS250.. and it was definitely crystal white..

I don't know the brand of my current lowbeam D4S's as they came in my LED headlights I bought but they have a slight blue tinge to them and I was told they are 5000k

I did what XD told me to do, give the bulbs time to break in. I don't belive they are 5000K, looking at them they look bright but from inside the car they are more 6000K and the light goes further out it loses light output.

I just bought the D4S Osram Xenarc CBI 5000K and they are 5000K.
