Default Tilting mirrors

My backup camera sometimes doesn't work.. its hit or miss a lot of the time.. I can leave for work and back into a parking spot and it will work.. I can drive home back into the garage and it won't work..

Dealership tells me the camera is "failing" which bothers me a bit but i was quoted $400 to replace and install..

My questions is should my mirrors tilt down when I go into reverse as well?? I've never seen this happen in my car.. I have pretty well every feature on my car.. NAV, rear sun shade, headlight washers, illuminated door sills, telescoping steering wheel, Mark levinson surround mem seats driver and passenger.. car had HID's with AFS before i swapped them.. Only thing I don't have it parking sensors in my bumper

Should my mirrors tilt down when I go into reverse?

The mirrors only go down when in reverse if you have your mirror-adjusting switch on either L or R, not in the middle. Found that super weird when I discovered that but that's the way it is.

Yeah I just read those 2 links posted there.. I find that strange as well you would think that the centre would be like a "neutral" position

Thanks for the help fellas
