My 07 is350 went at 165k. No real warnings other than I felt the power steering stop working when I pulled into a parking spot. Tried to restart right away to test the battery and it would not crank. I knew right away it was likely the alternator. Used a Denso from Amazon. No issues since.

06 IS350. Had mine replaced about 2 years ago ( around 8 year mark) 150k +. I remember I had white light smoke under the hood for awhile and dealer couldn't figure it out. Later the alt light turned on and drove to dealer directly for replacement.

88.5k miles just went out yesterday. I think my battery died as well after. The car won't do anything now. Cannot even open doors without using the actual key from for. Getting it towed to ship tomorrow morning hopefully.

I have a 07 Lexus IS250 just hit 114K Miles & I have had a bad alternator for about 2 months. Been too busy to replace! Hopefully this upcoming week before it decides to fail on me ! Lexus Dealership Quoted me $1000 for parts & labor so I'll just do it myself and buy the part for 300

2006 is350, failed around 120k while i was driving. i noticed a burning smell and my battery check light came on. can't remember what else came up at the time. i paid $50 for a used alt off a GS i believe and swapped it in myself. had to muscle the belt on but it's been fine for over 16k miles.

Edit looks like mine was just the battery. Shop called me said they installed new battery and everything is working fine. I was convinced it was alternator.

just happened to me and all I can say it that mine failed in a weird way. I thought my car was leaking oil cause a lot of smoke was coming out of the engine bay. 2 days later the battery icon came on and my car died. Alternator and battery replaced.

Mine was similar case lots of white steam ish smoke out of engine bay, but my batter icon didn't show until weeks later. I believe it's one reason my last batter didn't last as long due to alternator failure.

Mine died at 100K. It also took out the battery and my speed radar detector.
Not to mention the water pump shortly after to follow.
This car by far is the worst car I've ever had!

LOL are you serious ! So your car had 100K and you had to actually change some parts ? Oh my god, what a piece of crap car.. I wish you would have bought a German car, then you would be allowed to sound like a pansy.

2006 @140K. Mine just went last week.Took almost a full day to replace, but much better than paying the dealer to do it.
