I have a 08 and I do use it on daily basis with my family but the SA told me to wait and we'll let u know once the parts are available. Shall I take this to Lexus USA or just wait for the call ?

When my car was in for the infamous dashboard replacement at Park Lexus. The service adviser told me the IS's will be getting the airbag replacement starting from February.

Don't listen to him. If you still have the recall letter, call the phone number listed on there. Express your concern that you often have front passengers. I think your car is in zone 1, which is fastest zone for air bag deterioration. 7-10 years? Most likely you'll get a rental.

Got a call today that my Airbag replacement is in. I'm guessing I have one of the first Zone A vehicles out there (Jan'06). Appears they are prioritizing them by zone AND in-service date.

Just got the call that the parts for the airbag recall is in. Kind of sad that I'll no longer have a rental to keep the miles off the IS, but glad to start driving it again. FYI I am from Socal, so I believe this is Zone 1.
