Thinking of getting 06 IS350-need advice!!
Im thinking of getting a 2006 IS350 with 129K miles--super clean well maintained to replace my 2002 Tundra with 260K miles.
I know Tundras will run 300-400K miles with no major issues. Im assuming Lexus is the same.
Please advise from current IS350 owners what ownership is like, and can the IS350 run as well and hi mileage as the Tundra?

I sold my 07 ~2 years back with ~115K miles and I wouldn't hesitate buying another with similar miles again (assuming service history can be provided). Drove it for 3 years and ~55K miles with no issues whatsoever.

I had an 06 from new to 2013. Excellent vehicle.
As was mentioned above you want to get the maintenance records.
These cars had a crap load of TSBs; seatbelt, fuel rails (2 different times), floor mats, eyeglass holder and more.
My nav screen crapped out and I got that repaired by Lexus on good will.

Bought the same a couple of yrs ago, 06 IS350 that had 119k miles at the time. Currently pushing 135k miles and no major issues. Besides the regular maint (spark plugs, diff fluid change, oil changes, tires) so far, have only had to replace the digitizer screen on the Nav, windshield washer pump and that's it. I've spent more on appearance mods than repairs, really.. Got it from Lexus dealership so they had maint records and stringent checks done to it prior to purchase. Solid ride. Plus unlike IS250's, IS350s are less likely to have carbon build up issues..

My 07 IS350 just hit 120k with no major issues. Had my suspension inspected and found that I have worned out shocks (1 is leaking) which I will be replacing with BC Racing coils this weekend other than that my navigation touch screen went out (common problem) which is an easy fix.

I'll start by saying that is a solid vehicle, recalls aside. I've had my '06 350 since '09. Since then I've taken it from 23K miles to 165K.
However, I have been burning/consuming oil since about 100K miles. I haven't had it diagnosed but I can't smell it and don't see blue smoke. The dealership could not find a leak by a visual inspection. So I just add some oil from time to time.
I do expect to get more than 200K miles. In fact, the closer to 200K I get the more I'm confident I can go 250-300K before major things happen. It still runs great. The power doesn't feel diminished. The transmission is still smooth. Honestly, I feel like I've gotten my money's worth.
