where do you guys buy your side skirts? which ones should I stay away from cause of fitment issues?
and of course trying not to break the bank.

depends where you get them from. do you want authentic or rep? authentic is more expensive, of course, and they have close to perfect fitment.
if you're looking to "not break the bank" then you're probably going to go with reps and the fitment for those usually vary from item to item even if they're bought from the same seller.

I don't mind it being a little off as I would modify it to fit. but if its at the point to were you need heavy modification to just get to fit then not even worth it to me.

I have a set of side skirts that I bought but I haven't test fitted them yet though. I will next week and I'll let you know how the fitting is.
