I had a bit of a headache recently at my workplace on a Camry with a flashing tire light even after installing a new sensor. Went thru a bunch of steps with the Snap-On scanner and storing ID's, and was able to get the light to turn off and learned something new

Default Tpms

I found some sensors from /www.titantpms.com/ that were low cost and came pre-programmed. I had my local tire shop put them in and did the relearn procedure and was on my way in just a few minutes.

Default What do you need to register the sensors in techstream?

I have techstream software, and I have two sets of wheels both with TPMS installed. Is it possible to switch between sets of wheels with just techstream? How?

Thanks!

Is the techstream able to clone the sensors?

I don't think so.

Here is another question then for anyone who tried. You can use the techstream software to enter TPMS id's manually if you have the ID right, is that true? I do not have the IDs for either set on hand and all mounted.

So would this work?:
1. Open techstream and take a screenshot of the current TPMS IDs (I think it shows that?)
2. Go to tire shop and get other set of tires programmed into ECU
3. Open techstream and take a screenshot of the current TPMS IDs again
4. Then manually program from then on with techstream using the IDs from the screenshots

Would this work? Just trying to save wasting time if it won't.

Thanks a lot!

I actually have a 2013 RX350 not a GS. Just found this thread while searching google. So the 2013 RX350 does not have 2nd set button.

Thanks for trying though, appreciate it.

All right thanks.
I will try it and can report back to confirm if it worked if anyone wants to know? Though maybe you don't care as you guys have that sweet second set button...

They're not far off in procedures though.

1. Place the trigger tool against the tire sidewall close to the rim at the valve stem location, then press and release the Activate button on the tool. The tool will store the sensor data and advance the menu to the next tire.
2. Repeat the reset procedure in step 5 for each of the remaining 3 tires in the following clockwise order:

a. Right front tire (Front passenger’s side)

b. Right rear tire (Rear passenger’s side)

c. Left rear tire (Rear driver’s side)
3. Connect the scan tool to the vehicles OBD port.
4. Place the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position with the engine off.
5. Follow the tool manufacturer’s instructions for transmitting data to the ECU. When the stored sensor data has been successfully transferred from the tool to the ECU, the relearn procedure is complete. Disconnect the tool from the OBD port.

Your idea of the screenshots should still work.

I don't' have a trigger tool, and was hoping not to spend $295.

Hmm yeah maybe that's not the right one that I posted. To scan the sensors and get the id's then yes you would need the $295 one. I know lots of shops that will scan the sensors for free and give you the id's. Then you'll be able to use that Techstream software to program them to the car.
