So I drive back and forth from Toronto to Florida pretty often. This issue happens constantly on 2006 IS250 AWD with 175,000KM (108K miles).

The issue: At around 140 km/h (85 mp/h), when I'm overtaking someone, the engine will cut out, there will be an almost total loss of power check VSC will show up, I'll pull over onto the highway shoulder, shut off the car for about 20 seconds, turn it back on and it will act as if nothing ever happened and works perfectly once turned on.

Any clues?

Ever plug up a scanner to pull any error codes? Probably a sensor not liking what was happening causing you to go into limp mode. But one would have thought a CEL would have definitely popped up though when that would happen.

Agreed, you're going to want to find out what codes you have. Without that, you won't be able to really know what's going wrong.
