oil change questions.
 

Should I use a different brand oil and oil filter. I will be using napa gold(wix)+ mobil 1 full synthetic or just go with lexuses oil brand and their oil filter.

Do a search and you'll find a lot of people use Mobil 1 on this forum. I happen to use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum. I also use a Toyota filter.

I personally use Mobil 1 and a Toyota filter and I haven't had any problems with it so far with my current mileage at 29k

+1 the Pennzoil Ultra Plat and Toyota filter combo, same thing I use.

Pennzoil Platinum and OEM filter here too.

I am ashamed to admit it, but I just took it to the dealer this week for an oil change. I have no idea what they put in it. I assume Toyota...Was about $100 for the change...Don't think I'll do that again.

Mobil 1 full syn and Toyota filters since 31k miles here! Doesn't burn a drop of oil. Even did an unwanted extended oil change interval recently...12k miles. Filter was still in good shape and the oil was still good!
