What's up CL,

I'm fairly new to this forum. Joined a couple of months ago but haven't got around to posting anything but thought I shared what a is350 can do. I hit a new person best time of 13.2 sec @ 104 in a 1/4 mile at the track yesterday. My car is all stock on stock 18's. Only thing my car has is Coilovers and a drop in K&N filter in the stock air box. I'm surprised what these cars can do. I took out my spare tire and subs. Kept passenger and my rear seats in. Not bad for being stock. Anyone else have 1/4 mile times they liked to share? Maybe there's a thread about this out there that I didn't see?

My IS350 is modded and I could only do 14.2 @ 102 MPH. I did have a passenger and 235/35/19 rear tires so that could be the reason. My IS is supercharged now so it'll be going for another 1/4 mile run this summer.

The second run is definitely BS or has some extensive modifications that are not being mentioned, since it's trapping 5mph faster than some of the fastest stock ones.

thats pretty quick. I'll be very happy if my 2008 IS350 hit low 13". I have bolt on and will try 1/4 first time this summer. One of my friends got 2008 IS-F with intake, exhaust and he only hit best 13.3 sec.

That use to be one of well known members here on CL. If you look at a temperature that explains it.. I think he was running DR's also.

I wonder if you need tune up. Like spark plug and so. With stock 18" and traction control off. I think you'll get better time.

i am running 13.7 with ark cat-back, blitz filter and suruga intake tube..

I think that's what most people run and manufacturing specification 13.7.

He could be in negative 2500 DA, he still wouldn't run those times without extensive modifications. You don't gain 50rwhp worth of trap speed, from an already-good trap speed, without being highly modified. And the 2GR-FSE V6 isn't all that powerful, so you're not losing much in terms of wheelspin.

Those numbers are faster than a 2005 GTO and around as fast as the 2011-2015 Mustang GT, in good conditions, and most of us know that both of those cars would easily beat a stock or headers-equipped IS350. So yes, those numbers are BS if he claims he's anywhere near to stock. He likely has a small shot of nitrous.

That a long time member here and it's legit watch the video on YouTube. He run Street drag and drop weight from the passenger seat. His videos was done before headers even came out. Only thing was intake and exhaust. Cold air and great 60ft does wonder.
