Default Removing speedometer

I wanted to remove the speedometer for a project but after searching couldn't find the answer: if I unplug the whole instrument cluster and then when I'm done just plug it back in there won't be any new dash lights on or warning that need to be reset correct? everything will work as before I unplugged it right?

my car is a 2012 is250 with navigation
thanks

You won't have any problem at all. I did it a lot of time.

Does anyone know if this plastic piece can be removed by itself without taking off the the gauges (speedometer/rpm)?

like is it just held by tabs? I'm trying to avoid taking off the needles..

this is just a pic it's not what I have in front of me
