Default Tires...225/45r18

So searching the forum did not really give me a clear and cut answer. I'm trying to add more sidewall to my 350 f sport. I have the staggered wheels and tires.

1. Will 225/45/18 rub?

2. I heard that if I change my tire size; the cars computers will go all haywire. Is this true?

3. If I want more sidewall to the front tires, what size can I buy that won't cause the computers to get all screwed up and not rub.?

I'm going to buy the new continental extreme contact DWS 06 tires front and rear. Thanks for all the help!

I'm interested in the same thing, mexcept im lowered in H&R springs. These LA roads are just too brutal! Hopefully there is a size I can jump up to without any issues.

To the OP...are you lowered at all? If not, like others have posted on here you can get away with 45 series tires if at stock ride height. Just be aware that you'll likely encounter some minor wheel well liner rubbing on hard cornering.

I run 235/40/18 on the front, rides better & handles better.

What is your suspension setup?

Thanks for all the input and sorry for the late response. Looks like I'll go 235/40-18. Now I want to go with a wider rear tire but keep the side wall the same size. What size does club lexus recommend? Also the car is 100% stock. I do plan on buying the f sport lowering springs and 19" forged f sport rims that will be much later down the road. Thanks again.

You should be fine with those 235/40s on stock wheels and stock suspension.
