Lolz, oh boy. When I had my vvt actuator done a couple weeks ago, they only charged me parts but it ended up being $137 for plugs only + tax... 22.99 per plug is steep when I could of just used Advance Autos 30% off thingy and got all 6 for $70... Oh well, saved me the hassle at least.

For spark plug you can do it yourself.

I have done it before on IS250 and take about 1 hour. For IS350 it easier. It common sense and cost me $70 for spark plug.

I have experienced the same problem a couple of days ago, turned on car and pulled up at a stop sign which was a car length from the parking spot and the car stalled. I turned on my car again it felt like it was going to stall again because the rmp was lower than usual >600 rpm. My car feels sluggish after that. Also the check VCS light came on the next day. So i'm not sure if it my might be the same problem.
If anyone can charm in that would be nice and don't mean to thread jack x) but yes my car is at 70,000 and haven't changed spark plugs yet, just got water pump replace about a month ago.

Definitely check out the spark plugs and clean the TB - the valve is probably just having a rough time opening. I'm fairly certain it was more the TB than it was the spark plugs, but I was supposed to have it done 5k miles ago but never had time, so I had the dealership do it.

LOL jeez $650?!?! I'd just take the time to do it myself for like $100. Dealership charged me about $350 for spark plugs + TB cleaning but there was a recall I wasn't aware of so I believe they only did a partial charge for labor.

Try cleaning the MAF with some CRC Mass Air flow Cleaner. Usually a rough/weird idle, jerky, or car feeling sluggish are symptoms of a dirty or failing MAF sensor.
is that a normal idle for is350’s or is that too high?
