For those of you whom are now 3+ years into ownership of your IS250... what are your constant dislikes and likes of the car??

Does the maintenance cost concern you?
Are the tires wearing evenly and lasting as long as you thought?
Likes/dislikes of the Navigation.
AC/heat issues?
How it drives in snow/heavy rain

I have the car for about 3 years in AZ. Maintenance cost is not really a concern -- the only things I have done are the oil changes and tire changes, other stuff were recalls that didn't cost anything. The front tires don't wear evenly though the summer tires lasted 25,000 miles for me. The AC is fine, but the weird smell is a constant issue that you need to prevent with spray or turning the AC off before stopping the car. It drives fine in heavy rain. Overall, even with those issues, I think it's a pretty great car.

My only complaint is the navigation sucks, both on my 07 and my 13. I've replaced my waterpump and that was the most extensive maintenance my car has needed other than oil changes and spark plugs.

I've had my 2010 IS 250 AWD for exactly 5 years. I have put 135,000 miles on her.

The rear axles are effing expensive to replace and eventually go bad. The rears were going to cost almost $2,800 but they failed at 72k--2k miles past the warranty. Lexus goodwilled the labor and I paid the parts $900ish).

I also had a problem with one of the A/C pulleys or something at 120k miles. ($400ish)

Right now the front axels are starting to leak but are not even 1/2 of the cost of the rears. I will replace them when they are done.

I also have another weird vibration in the A/C system and noise that continues for about 2 seconds after the car is turned off and will have it looked at at my next oil change.

I've owned this car living in OR, NE, AZ. I have driven in mountain blizzards with my Michellin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires without ever getting stuck.

I have been in AZ for three years now and the A/C is still cold, although a bit underpowered for the cabin.

Interior and leather (I have the Ultra Luxury package with the buttery soft semi-aniline leather) still looks brand new as I use Leatherique's products twice a year and my car rarely sits in the sun.

I've had all service done at Lexus as it really isn't that much more expensive AND a they give me a loaner--even for my oil changes.

The nav hasn't been updated but I have no issues with it. I see clients in their homes all over AZ so I use my nav literally every day.

I have the Lexus 18" G-Star wheels and I don't like how loud the interior is on the freeway.

I would like to get 200,000 miles out of her, which will make her 7 years old at that time.

Bought a 2006 250awd CPO in 2009 and it has been a love / hate relationship with the car.

On the plus side:

- Not really on the car but more on the service. Lexus does step up to the plate when there is an issue - which you can't say for all car companies.

On the negative side:

- The carbon buildup / misfire issue has been a pain to deal with. Again, Lexus did do the right thing by extending the warranty for that problem for 9 years but still a hassle to even have to deal with it.

- On my 2006 the paint was really soft (Blue Onyx). Sometimes I felt like looking at the car would give it a scratch.

- Dealer service is beyond expensive. But then again - this is true for most other cars. A problem I have is trusting someone else to not rob me blind - or worse - do the job right when it comes time to a fix. Luckily any problems I did have (ie. carbon buildup / misfire) was covered by Lexus.

Gotta say my 350 has given me ZERO problems, if it did I fixed it myself. Glad I didnt go with the 250awd

Rear seat IS250 too small , lack power so after 1 year wife trade in for ES350 with 272 HP and navigation system. I do worry about carbon buildup. But I still got my IS350

I've owned the car since 2010, im 5"6, 150 lbs, so I'm no means a big guy.
I won't say the positives as it greatly outweighs the negatives.

2006 is350
Regular maintenece following owners manual, rear driver shock blew at 45k ( warranty fixed that)
Rear seats do not good down
No USB/Bluetooth until 2010
I live in NYC, gas mileage is around 14mpg avg.
Rear seats are CRAMPED. Feels like a coupe but you have 4 doors
Sunroof wouldn't close properly (130$ fix from dealer)
Ac not feeling as cold as my other cars
Not being able to turn traction off without pedal dance (06 models only)

These are probably all the negatives from me.

I've owned my 2006 is250 since 2009. This is my opinion...

Dislikes:
- all door panels and dash has been sticky and a few years ago has started cracking. Any time your finger nail hits the dash or door panels, a chunk goes with it.
- both rear power door locks have failed within a week apart
- rear seat doesn't fold down so you can't fit **** anywhere
- car has had carbon buildup since day 1
- car is extremely slow but loves to guzzle gas
- black crap started flying out of my ac 2 years ago (foamy crumbly stuff) and now it doesn't matter whether you are pulling the air from the outside or just in cabin. You always get outside air.
- oil dipstick is hard to read
- lastly, dealing with the Lexus dealership. Regardless of all the recalls I have gotten, they always try to refuse to do the work unless I pay for it.

I always forget how cramped the rear seats are until I have to squeeze someone back there. I considered the CT for a while until I saw how cramped those seats were compared to the IS. Lexus hates back seat passengers.

Replaced the water pump and the moonroof cables (the latter was done by Lexus Good Will). Starting to get a vibration at idle, which I think is the engine mounts. The transmission is clunky compared to newer models in manual mode, and the front seats lack side bolstering (marginally improved on later 2IS's). Back seats do not fold down, only a pass through.

In all honesty, despite the little nuisances I love this car. I'd do it again too.

Lexus quality took a dive in 2005 on MY06 Lexus's that were the start of L-Finesse design language. Sleeker sheet metal but some cost cutting. Most of this was addressed by 2011 and Lexus has regained its spot atop JD Power VDS for the past three years.
